The Neohumanist Education movement aims to develop the intuitive wisdom of the students. Through storytelling and literature based teaching and by putting the inner values and beliefs of the teacher at the center of all teaching, Neohumanist education develops the whole person.
​Inspired by the work of P.R. Sarkar, NHE stresses the importance of self-analysis, meditation, character and study not just for the children, but also for the teacher. In NHE being a teacher, is not something static, but a process of self-development and devotion to inner peacefulness.

This reshapes the context of the curriculum: from a pure knowledge based acquisition of information, we aim for the personal growth of the children who learn to integrate academics with personal growth. Thus, in essence Neohumanist schools advocate 'knowledge for self-realization'. Under the banner of the global organisation of Gurukul, NHE is spreading around the world as a force for social and personal transformation towards a sustainable society.

A Manifesto for Teaching Love in Schools

Many teachers love to teach, but very few teachers teach to love, that while if there is one thing our society needs more of, it is love. in A Manifesto for Teaching Love in Schools (downloadable) explores the benefits and social needs of developing loving awareness based education, the scientific reasons and the best methods for growing more loving schools.

Kindness and love need constant nurturing and regular reinforcement. The program offers ideas of growing love and peacefulness and helps you develop your own skills to be more connected, inspired and love-growing at home as well as in school. The program stresses the need for regular quiet time for the teacher, balanced food and exercise that balances glands and nerves.

We currently conduct workshops for Neohumanist Teacher Training in China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia and India. These programs are offered under the banner of the Global Association of Neohumanist Educators (GANE).

We offer training in making your own spoon puppets  as well as other puppet formats and practice re-telling the Superbunny stories.
